Launched during Ganesh Chaturthi in 2003, Kala Rasik Sangam has spread a feast for Classical Music lovers. Founded by the violin maestroes Padmabhushan Dr. N.Rajam and Dr. Sangeeta Shankar, this forum offers the widest variety of CDs (which are not available in the market) of Hindustani classical music.

Kala Rasik Sangam operates on a membership basis. Rs.1900/- per year for 24 CDs. Every month 2 cds are delivered to the members at their home by courier.

The aim is to make available the wide variety of the great music existing in our country and reach it to the genuine music lovers, at a competitive price.

There are three series - RARE GEMS, RICH HERITAGE & FLOWERING BUDS.

RARE GEMS series would comprise of great masters who are no more.
FLOWERING BUDS brings forth the young, vibrant & energetic talent in India.
RICH HERITAGE includes all the present-day masters.

Also, there are many great musicians in India who don't have a commercial recording as yet- and thus go unheard.

Releases include present masters like - Pt.Bhimsen Joshi(1950-live recording), Ustad Bismillah Khan-Dr.N.Rajam- Duet (1975), Pt. Jasraj (1964-live), Ustad Zakir Hussain, Smt. Malini Rajurkar, Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt, Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, Pt. Nayan Ghosh, Ustad Irshad Khan, Pt. Tarun Bhattacharya, Dr. Sangeeta Shankar, Shri. Rupak Kulkarni, Shri. Kaivalya Gurav, Smt. Devaki Pandit etc., rare recordings of past masters like - Pt.Omkarnath Thakur, Ustad Barkat Ali Khan, Pt. Mahadev Mishra, Ustad Abdul Latif Khan, Pt. Anokhelal Mishra, Pt. Gajanan Rao Joshi, Pt. Rasiklal Andharia - and also the young talent like Shri. Kumar Mardur, Smt. Apoorva Gokhale, Shri. Abhijeet Pohankar, Shri. Ashwin Srinivasan, Shri. Salil Bhatt, Shri. Anirban Dasgupta and many other rare recordings in the pipeline.
